Hi, I’m Marcia.
Let me give you a little background into what makes me tick…
lydeen: a name I adopted from my Grandma when my life took a sharp left turn a while back. The beautiful watch she had as a girl, her initials engraved on the back, is my treasured keepsake. That's when my love for antiques began and shows up in my jewelry today. Antiqued metals and stampings from vintage molds combined with warm colored stones, pearls and crystals bring a softness to my pieces.
I'm self-taught, mostly. No degree, no professional schooling, just a love and some beads got me started many years ago and still excite me today. I look for things that strike my heart and as each component finds the other, the line of lydeen is created.

I also incorporate my love for antiques into my collage art. It has developed over the years, repurposing vintage items and making them a part of each piece. I enjoy making the collage look antiqued and well loved, like they each have a story to tell. They’re not perfect, and I like it that way. It gives them character and is a good reflection of me.
Everywhere I go, I'm in search of vintage drawer pulls, rosettes, key plates, whatever I can find that speaks to me. I enjoy using vintage buttons, they remind me of my Grandma too. They fascinate me. The amazing detail and craftsmanship, I admire the work that was put into each one.
My home is definitely where my heart is...in Excelsior, Minnesota, with my wonderful husband, two dogs and a cat. We love to simply hang out together...whatever it is. I have two great step-kids and a son-in-law, all of whom I adore. They have all changed my life in a million fabulous ways. My heart is full.
